Regina South Pipeline Public Utility Board

Water is our most precious natural resource.

Purpose

The existing water supply for the area south of Regina cannot meet the projected water requirements for the future.  Alternate sources considered are either inadequate in supply and quality, or too expensive to consider.

The logical solution, in order to satisfy present and future demands is to solicit the City of Regina to supply potable water by means of a low volume, low pressure pipeline.  This will accommodate the needs of the rural residents south of Regina

It will, also provide opportunities for rural residents and area producers south of Regina to entertain new initiatives in support of economic development without the threat of drought.

Our objective is to provide water to as many subscribers as possible; however, the route will be dictated by cost.  Potential subscribers must realize that the cost may be prohibitive for some.  We guarantee no one will ever pay less than the original subscribers.

Construction of this rural water pipeline is scheduled between fall/winter 2005 and spring/summer 2006.
